Is my song loud enough for Spotify?

Done: it now sits right at Spotify's level, and the peaks still have room.

Three steps, all in the chat

No plugins, no meters to read. Ask a question, add the file, get an answer you can act on.

1

Ask

Ask ChatGPT something like "Is my song loud enough for Spotify?" or "Normalize my podcast audio."

2

Add your file

Drop a WAV, FLAC, MP3 or AAC file into Loudness Check, or attach it to your message.

3

Fix and download

See how far you are from the target, then download a level-matched 24-bit WAV.

Pick where it's going

Every platform plays music at its own level. Loudness Check knows the targets, so you only have to know where you're releasing. All share a true-peak ceiling of −1 dBTP.

Spotify
−14LUFS

Plays tracks at about the same level

YouTube
−14LUFS

Turns loud uploads down

Apple Music
−16LUFS

A little quieter, more room for dynamics

Podcast
−16LUFS

Spoken word on podcast apps

TV & radio
−23LUFS

Broadcast delivery (EBU R128)

Gain only, on purpose

Loudness Check only changes the overall level. It never limits, compresses or EQs your audio, and it tells you if your peaks stop it short of the target.

  • Measures integrated loudness (LUFS), true peak and loudness range
  • Turns the whole file up or down to the platform's target
  • Stops at −1 dBTP so peaks never clip, and says how far short it is
  • Exports a 24-bit WAV at your original sample rate
  • No limiting, compression or EQ
  • No noise removal or mastering
  • No surround: mono and stereo files only
  • No account, and no copy of your audio on our servers

Measurements follow ITU-R BS.1770-4 and EBU Tech 3342, with true peak read at 8× oversampling.

Your audio stays with you

Files you choose in Loudness Check are decoded, measured and normalized in your browser. They are never sent to our servers. ChatGPT only receives the file name and the numbers.

If you attach a file to a ChatGPT message, or download a normalized file inside ChatGPT, ChatGPT stores that file. Read the privacy policy
